WP Whales started in 2017 as a one-person freelance operation. The founder, a self-taught WordPress developer, was frustrated by the gap between what clients expected and what low-cost agencies delivered — bloated themes, undocumented code, and disappearing developers.
The solution was simple: charge a fair price, communicate clearly, and take genuine ownership of outcomes. That reputation spread. By 2019, the team had grown to five. By 2022, we were the silent WordPress engine behind several UK digital agencies.
